Established in 2007, the Man-Up Committee Plano was co-founded by Lawrence D. Mann to organize and help bridge connections between families of adolescent males and schools to encourage educational involvement and support after-school programs. Our greatest focus is to identify economically disadvantaged families that will enable us to promote and build safety, security and stability within families. In doing so it is our hope to develop wholesome relations by acquiring mentors as a means to extend quality assistance to families who are not affiliated within our immediate school system and communities. Through a number of concerted efforts to enable all students to successfully achieve high school and future educational goals, it is our endeavor to:

➢ Connect with families
➢ Establish positive relationships
➢ Develop a common goal, and
➢ Provide resources and information

Planning for our eighth annual Man-Up event is currently underway to be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday. October 26, 2016 at the Plano Court Yard Theater. We welcome the opportunity to meet with sponsors in order to discuss event activities as well as additional responsibilities you can contribute to in this year’s event. In advance, we thank each of you for your dedication and devotion in assisting ALL of our students with achieving great success.
